November 2003 saw him installed as the caretaker manager of Kettering in the Ryman Premier for the next few weeks while the vacancy was advertised.

January 2004 Nicky was appointed manager of Bedford Town in the Ryman Premier League.  In February 2007 Nick signed Chippenham Town's Adam Garner after seeing his stats on his son's Championship Manager on his Playstation - and even persuaded PS owners Eidos to buy the player!

A week later Nicky walked out on bottom of the table Bedford.

Clive PLATT

 At Notts 2003 - 2004 (Monthly contract)

After Notts it was off to Peterborough before joining MK Dons in January 2005 and scored vital goals that year to help save the Dons from relegation.

After relegation in 2005/06 the following season saw MK Dons fighting for promotion from League Two.  This turned out to be Platt's best season in terms of strike-rate, with him finding the net 18 times, before suffering an injury that caused him to miss the first leg of a play-off game against Shrewsbury Town and have an indifferent second leg.

In July 2007, Platt was sold to Championship side Colchester United for £300,000, six times Colchester's previous transfer record.
