Paul left Notts at
the end of the 03/04 season as his contract expired and joined Bristol
City on a three year deal but due to the superb form of Steve Brooker
and Leroy Lita, his chances in the first team were limited. Doncaster
then signed him in 2005 for £125,000.
Paul has recently signed a 2 year extension at Doncaster Rovers. This does not come as a shock to many Rovers fans after his extraordinary run of form including scoring 7 goals in a 5 game spell including a pair of braces against Crewe in the Johnstone Paint Trophy. Paul has recently returned from injury, crowning his return with a goal in the JPT final against Bristol Rovers, to help Doncaster to the first trophy in their 127 year history. In January 2007, Rovers reportedly turned down a bid from championship side Southend United for the striker. |
